Only 4 months ago my mom, brother, U-J and I were sitting on the side of my dad's ICU bed saying goodbye. Today he couldn't come to the phone because he was busy clearing brush in the backyard with a chainsaw. He's been sober for 4 months, and says he can't remember when he last felt this good.
